Join us for NSI Food Pantry’s 15th Annual Dishin’ for Hunger, a one-of-a-kind evening featuring live cooking demos from top Central Ohio chefs, a cocktail showcase, tastings, open bar, and a silent auction. All proceeds support NSI’s mission to fight hunger in our community.

Bryn Caswell

Bryn Caswell is a three-time Emmy and five-time Edward R. Murrow award-winning journalist who anchors 10TV’s weekend morning shows and reports throughout the week. A Worthington native, Bryn started her career in Dayton and later worked in Cleveland, covering major events including the Memorial Day tornadoes and the East Palestine train derailment. She also created the award-winning true crime podcast 'Missing Erika Baker'. Bryn graduated magna cum laude from The University of Alabama and enjoys spending time with her husband, two Maine Coon cats, and volunteering in the Columbus arts community.

Ben Flores

Chef Ben Flores is an Alabama native who has lived in Columbus since 2021. After graduating from the University of Alabama in 2015, he pursued a career in restaurant and hospitality management before settling in Columbus. He joined Chapman’s Eat Market in 2021 and was the sous chef to a James Beard nominated team. After his Time at Chapmans Eat Market, he accepted the role of Culinary Instructor at The Ohio State University, where he teaches Food Production Management for the Restaurant and Hospitality Department. He has an Italian-American, Mexican-American, and Gulf Coast Southern style culinary background. His personal goals in the industry focus on the training and development of young service industry professional.

Zachary Rall

Chef Zachary Rall is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the kitchen, including the execution of all food for events. 1997 Graduate, Upper Sandusky High School, attended The Ohio State University. ServeSafe Certified with Managers Certification in Food Protection.

Liesl Ashbaugh

Chef Liesl Ashbaugh was born and raised in the Midwest. She joined the service industry in high school working in local mom and pop spots but left the industry to pursue painting at Kent State University. Leaving school earlier than planned due to the pandemic, she later joined Chapman’s Eat Market in 2023 for her first professional job as a cook. Since then she has worked her way through the kitchen learning and filling as many roles as she could. With the closing of Chapman’s she will be joining Gene’s in Dublin as their new Sous Chef. Her love of cooking comes from her love of learning and problem solving. There isn't a thing she wouldn't like to learn about food.

Danielle Bereznay

Danielle is a native of Columbus and graduated from The Ohio State University with her Bachelor of Arts degree in English. She and her future husband Jeff enrolled in culinary school together not long afterward. They have both been chefs ever since, living and cooking in New York, Florida, Texas and Germany in addition to Ohio. Danielle has worked in the culinary industry for many years. A graduate of The Culinary Institute of America, she has held a variety of positions, not only as a chef and caterer but also as a cheese monger, barista, and culinary specialist for a food importer. She has cooked for Disneyworld, The United States Army, Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Whole Foods, Meals on Wheels and THE Ohio State University. When she isn’t cooking Danielle is reading cookbooks and combining her love of food and language. She and Jeff enjoy cooking together at home and try not to critique each other too much!

Jay Ingram

Growing up, Jay’s love for cooking was inspired by his mother and grandmother. His family worked in and owned restaurants all his life, helping him develop a deeper knowledge and respect for the industry at a very young age. After attending Columbus State Community College, Jay joined Cameron Mitchell Restaurants and helped open Molly Woo’s Asian Bistro, as well as M at Miranova. In 2007, he joined Cameron Mitchell Premier Events as a line cook and has risen through the ranks, becoming a Sous Chef, Executive Chef, and, currently, Corporate Chef.

Shaina Rubenstein

Chef Shaina Rubenstein is a Texas-bred and Ohio-rooted pastry chef and pastaia at Littleton’s Market in Upper Arlington. During the last five years living in Columbus she has worked with Service Bar, The Market Italian Village, and Chapman’s Eat Market, and cooks with Southern, Jewish/Eastern European, and Italian influences. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature and Biological Anthropology from The University of Texas at Austin.

Sean Miller

A long standing bartender in Columbus. Working in craft cocktails from classic staples like Curio, to modern cocktail lounges like The Lion. Has also been a part of some of Columbus’ favorite restaurants like Comune and Chapman's.

Are there ID requirements or an age limit for attending the event?

No – however, we do offer wine and an assortment of beer at the event, you must be at least 21 years of age to consume alcohol.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to the event?

Parking is FREE at the Ohio Union Parking Garage with your ticket purchase! Make sure to get a validation sticker from one of the event organizers before leaving. It is also on the COTA bus line.

Will I need to bring a printed ticket to the event?

No – since signups are done in advance, we will have a record of your name on our attendance roster.
